So I don't think anybody has posted this, but Rolling Stone's Rock and Roll Daily blog posted this conversation they had with Mike about Bonnaroo this morning:

http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2008/05/16/metallicas-ulrich-pearl-jams-mccready-lay-out-bonnaroo-plans/

I won't be making it to Bonnaroo, I prefer more jam-based festivals like All Good or Rothbury. Have fun guys... it's going to be great!

It seems like this article is paraphrased from the recent billboard article...

I think the Billboard article meant that the TOUR will have "obscure b-sides".
I shit and I stink. I'm real, join the club.

A friend, he called, I didn't mention a thing. The last thing he said was, "Be sound". Sound. I contemplated an awful thing, I hate to admit. I just thought those would be such appropriate last words. But I'm still here.

I hope it rains and they play Love Reign O'er Me. That would be perfect.

you guys are just going to overhype the show if you keep thinking their going to play a million b sides. I doubt that. Just a thought.

Since the call that these quotes came from was Bonnaroo conference call, I would say it probably refers to Bonnaroo.

I think they are ready for a comeback or at least I hope. Go to http://www.missionmetallica.com and watch some of the vids....a few parts of new stuff thrown in there and I liked what I heard
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

I'm glad there are no plans for new songs yet. They have such a huge inventory to choose from and this is the place that has the "laid back" vibe so I think it will pass onto them and they can enjoy the show and "feel" they can play and do whatever they want. It's like a collision of factors coming together that are going to make this show. The other artists, the whole Bonnaroo atmosphere, the weather and the mood of the guys. If it all works in a positive unison this will be the "epic" show I have been hoping for.

Not so much a "regular" show, but no way an all hit show like Lolla. Mike is going take over again and again. I just know it.
There will be people joining them on stage and who knows what can happen?!

I have my money on a long jam of "Nothing as it Seems".
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

I know many people want to hear No Way a lot. I would love to hear it as well. But, if u think about it, do you really want to hear it because its a great song or just another song that u have to add to your list of songs that youve yet to hear? Me personally, I would like to hear it, but not because I love the song. I've been so spoiled because of the shows/songs I've seen/heard. Im not putting down No Way. Im just giving my irrelevant thought. I would love the return of WMA. Can M Cameron handle that or Who You Are? Correct me if Im off base. Just giving my feeling.

I want to hear No Way simply because it's my favorite song off of Yield.

Nothing As It Seems would be incredible, but I'm hoping for 1/2 Full. Not played all that often and Mike would get a chance to wail.

Why does everyone want No Way played so badly? Sure it's a great song, but I can't see it being anything too special live.

Rival is a much better song than No Way IMO. as for the bsides i think we'll get:
    U
    Alone
    Sad
    State or Breath, not both
    maybe Hard To Imagine

Because they haven't played it since '98, and it's only been played 3 times ever. It's long overdue
