Never realised there were so many different WMAs

edited September 2009 in The Porch
just got the New York boot and WMA sounds so much different than the Bonnaroo and old school one (for the record i prefer the Roo version the best). its pretty cool how they seem to play it a little different at a lot of shows. they should do that more often!

  • you know you want it.
  • The Roo version and the MSG version are basically the same, to my ears. You have to go back to '94 to get the old school version.

I thought the MSG one had those horrible backup singers on it? I'm assuming that is really the only difference between the two

I still think Atlanta 94's version with Doug from Kings X is the best.

seriously? I thought that was the worst thing that PJ has ever done at a show, but I'm glad they are gone on this tour. But I guess everyone has their own taste

it sounds a lot 'happier' or something, and the beginning guitar bit is a played a little different. The Roo version sounded a lot meaner, but not like the old one.

They sounded fine on "Who You Are".

For a one-off (or I guess two-off) event, I thought it was kind of funny. (You do realize they didn't take those people around with them on tour last summer? They were just some local folks from NYC that only appeared at MSG. Right?).

I laughed my ass off at Fonzie's dance moves.

    That they did.

Frankly, the only song the really bedazzled in a bad way was All Night. I thought WMA was OK.
