Released this week: Backspacer from Pearl Jam! Rolling Stone says Pearl Jam's ninth studio album features the "shortest, tightest, punkiest tunes they've ever banged out." Coming next week: Special Pearl Jam announcement on 105.5 Triple M!

  • They would not announce a show for 2010 now...it's got to be an additional show for this year...maybe between the San Diego show and the first Philly show? Although it would be really short notice. :?

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Triple M do concert give-a-ways. They are probably going to give-a-way a trip to one of their shows. They did it back in '03, if i remember correctly. Lets all pray it is a Alpine nouncement though!

  • VERY short notice for an Alpine Valley show yet this fall and Madison isn't big enough to warrant an indoor show IMO.

And... last time they played Alpine in October, it was 35 degrees out! But we will pray for the Alpine show vs. being flown out to Philly! :)

This is probably a contest, similar to the big PJ announcement that 102.1 The Edge did in Toronto a few weeks back, that turned out to be a contest to go to ACL...

    October 13th @ Noon

Never before have Pearl Jam fans had such an up-close, in-depth look at what goes on behind the scenes when Ed, Jeff, Matt, Mike and Stone are in the studio and on the road. Listen October 13th at noon and hear songs from the new Pearl Jam album, "Backspacer," and exclusive live material from Pearl Jam's summer tour last year. Plus, we'll take an inside look at the writing of the new songs on "Backsapacer" and the making of the new album itself.

Check back here following the broadcast for bonus material including an extended version of the show, more live music from PJ and the new album "Backspacer," full interviews with the band and more.
  • that's it?? Wow. Guess that's smaller town Madison radio for ya... still cool, but no show or giveaway etc. :(
  • Nice thread. :D
  • Nice thread. :D

Indeed. If PJ liked Austin so much they would love Madison...very similar. Not quite the music city Austin is and a bit more "cool" this time of year, but a great town that fits the bands priorities.... and love for diversity.

    One day.....
