Is Backspacer brickwalled/Compressed as S/T, Ten Remix etc?

Just a question? How is the audio quality?

    Yeah, it's there - but it's not as extreme as S/T or the Ten reissue.

    Still really loud though, I wish it were mastered more sympathetically but oh well.
  • I haven't taken a visual look at it yet, but the sound quality is far superior to s/t and the Ten reissues from what my ears can tell. Bob Ludwig is one of the best, so quality is to be expected.

    Anyone know who mastered s/t? I can't imagine it was Ludwig.

    best since Yield, but yes, still a teeny bit loud. its like different planets compared to S/T. what the hell happened there?!

    It definitely sounds better than s/t. I don't think I listened to the Ten remix enough to notice any bad compression.
