I have only used ebay a couple of times and This morning I 'won' a coffee machine. Payed $240 and payed straight away.
About an hour later I get an email from the guy saying he cant use paypal and to transfer the money into an account in China.
I said I wasn't comfortable with that, I have already paid, It will be difficult to cancel blah blah blah does he still wish to proceed.
He has not gotten back to me, I start work in 27mins and I wanna know should I cancel the order before then. He smells dodgey to me.
Oh and he didn't have any feedback

I'd be cancelling it bud. Sounds fishy. Just about every seller on there uses paypal. Check his feedback score and see if there are many negative reponses. Check out what they say and go from there
Paypal is what offers you (limited) protection. Do not pay in a different manor.
Be nice to the guy for now, but, yeah, I'd start asking for a refund.

His auction said nothing about any other kind of payment. I paid directly after I won it. The only time he mentioned another sort of paymen was about two hours after the fact.
He sent me this
It also said nothing about coming form a foreign country.
And this
I sent him a nice email explaining why I cancelled. I'm spewin, I wanted the coffee maker. Smells fishy to me

Can you link the auction. I would like to take a look at this guys history?
When he does refund you ... notify Ebay why you don't want to pay. Don't pay that way.
Buy your coffee machine at overstock.com or amazon.

Take your money back NOW. With eBay and PayPal, the buyers have all of the power. This means you. Sellers cannot leave negative feedback for any buyer, ever. If PayPal won't refund your money without first going through a complaint process, start the process today.
In future, only bid on items from sellers with 99.5% positive feedback or better. Make sure they have been selling for more than a few months. Look at some of the feedback other customers have left to see what each seller's weak aspects are. Often, buyers will leave the green plus sign but type in that shipping was slow, or seller ignored e-mails, etc.
I think I will get my money back, cause my money wasn't sent straight away from my bank.

Yet item location is Canberra. I don't know what is worse, him trying to con me or him choosing Canberra as a place to live.
