When you owe money?

Do you pay it back as soon as possible?

I do, and when people owe me money it is so annoying when they don't pay me back.

I hate asking, and I just had to send a text to a friend asking for $140 that he owes me for PJ tix. It has been a few months. Just annoying.

    yeah---you've gotta pay it back asap. and if you can't for some reason or need a little more time, be honest about it. don't ignore or dodge phone calls. i've had a couple if friends do that to me & it just pissed me off.

    I hate owing people money so, I'm usually the guy that does the things (pick up the bill, buys the tickets) that makes people owe me.

    When I do owe, I am often thinking about it, thinking about how to get in touch with the person quicker to pay them back ... even if it's something small that I can easily pay back, and the other person isn't worried about it at all ... I just hate that feeling of owing.

    Now, I'm thinking, "Do I owe anyone anything? " ... :?

    I rarely owe anyone anything, but if for some reason I happen to, I pay them IMMEDIATELY......like I go home, write a check and put it in the mail before doing anything else.
    The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

    i'm the same way. it is extremely rare for me to owe anyone money, except perhaps my mortgage lender ;)....or sure, in the case of buyint tix/hotels, etc....sharing expenses together. tho as someone else mentioned above, 9x out of 10, i too am the one who forks out the cash, or most of it. but you bet, i pay my debts VERY promptly, b/c it is how i expect to be treated in kind. even if i borrow a buck for that rare binge at the vending machine... :mrgreen:

    Never loan money to friends or family. If you buy concert tickets or something, never expect to be paid back. These are things I've learned.

    I owe a ton of money, and I'm paying it back asap. The pay plan for my student loans is 10 years but I plan to pay it back in 3, and my credit cards will be paid off by October. I hate having stuff like that hanging over my head. Some people just don't care though, they have a remarkable ability to forget about that sort f thing.

    it's a good policy to have. imo, if you don't have the cash on hand, then you probally don't need it.

    My friend got the Pearl Jam tickets on his credit card and I'm paying him back in installments.

    I am very fortunate and have never had to ask anyone for money, and the only person to ever ask me for money is my idiot brother. I'm the bigger idiot for actually loaning him some.

    that sucks.

    I am the same way i pay my debts ASAP! I can't stand when i have to ask for money because i feel like the bad guy when i was the guy doing a favor in the first place you know!
