In kind of a situatuion

so here in the great white noth of canada. we have the government rebates if you do certain thing to your home. like if you insulate the full exterior walls they give you 3250 back in reabates. if you do your basement walls and the headers, you get 2500. attic, 1200.
so i had theses contractors who were going to do it all. the drilled all the holes, finished a wall in the basement, and thats about it.
so they decide to not show up anymore, i gave them time, time and more time. so now im done with them.
no i call my home inspector and he tells me i can do the work but i need a reciept from a contractor or one from all the bags of insulation i have that they left, that are mine now. anyone here have there own construction company that could send me a reciept? or any other ideas?
the home inspector basically told me it dont matter what kind of reciept it is just as long as i have one.

if your asking for a forged receipt from someone why not just buy a receipt book from staples and make your own

get your brother to do the handwriting

yes... that is all i needed. ty. and im not a scammer btw, just want whays commin to me....by me doin the work of some half ass that didnt finish the work

Sounds like you need to kick those asshole workmen up the hole and get a receipt from them. As long as they're not Carnies they should be easy to track down.

ya i just got a hold of them, but the thing is, now i dont want them touching my house. and i have all their materail so i can just do it myself and reap the rewards.

Go buy the same materials at a store, photocopy the reciept, then return said materials.

If that seems too dodgy, perhaps you could simply get proof of what the materials usually cost, and hope that will suffice.

Are you going to finish the work yourself or hire someone to do it? If you do it yourself, make your own receipt. If you are going to hire someone to finish the job, THAT person shouldn't have a problem with giving you the proper paperwork.

We have the same thing here in the US--- our new windows will be installed in 2 weeks!
