The couple that were full on making out and doing like lap dance stuff?

Pretty damn annoying. I think its cool to hug or kiss your date at a show, but going beyond that and making out or kissing every five seconds that gets annoying as hell real fast...

Ths couple seemed to be on drugs or had some beers before the show

I was on the floor night one and in 113 night two, crowd was no problem either places. I know Ed joked about it but i think no beer in the bowl wasn't a bad idea.
  • I really think that may have been me. Damn, they were annoying. To the point of being distracting.
  • I sat next to a guy who brought a date on night 1 who wasn't into Pearl Jam too much... And on night 2 he brought a different date who was very much into Pearl Jam... Night 2, they left before the first encore

I've spent so many years in question
To find I'd known this all along.
  • I had this happen to me at a Kings of Leon show, really annoying and distracting.

I was in 114 but in row 5 and too focused on the show.

  • this happened to me at a Thornley show in the Peg. Standing room only in a bar. The girl was grinding her butt up against the front of the dude she was with. She was smokin' hot (good), but it still distracted me from the show (bad).

To each their own, I just don't understand the point of going to a show and making out. Stay home, put on the cd and some candles, and have sex.

  • They were far more noticeale during Ben Harper and Relentless7, when everyone else around them was siting down. They seemed to "mellow out" once Pearl Jam took the stage...though I stopped paying attention to them at that point.

  • I was in 117 night one, right above the area where Ben Harper was standing.....(yes, I was likely annoying and singing too loud...but not a distraction....) BUT....the chick that Ben Harper was with was driving me nuts....she was standing behind him, grabbing him, like poking him and playing the whole time.....they seemed like they met two nights before and were teenagers in love in the most annoying way...it would have been annoying if it was anyone.....and fast burning type of interaction..(watch, someone will rip me and tell me that they are probably married for twenty years for all I know).....I bet by now he found out that she has an elongated ****oris and that she/he is going through a divorce but still lives with her soon to be ex.... Ben, c'mon....

Maybe it was that dude who fell in love at the toronto show... maybe he tracked her down and they met in seattle
Further back and forth a wave will break on me, today...
  • First night was great seats in section 127 on Mike's side, Row 10. Second night, section 113, row 20. Ended up next to the drunk ass who kept talking and saying things like "I hope they play Alive" and when they'd play any song he didn't know "is this off the new album?" I finally had had my fill and turned to him and said "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" The look he gave me was classic. I think everyone around him appreciated the fact that I said what everyone else was thinking. He didn't say anything after that. :D

and for the record, i had no idea laura dern was married to ben harper, not that i keep up with either of em, or celebrities in general, hahaha. i just remember way back when she and geena davis basically did a partner swap, rennie harland(?) for jeff goldblum!

oh, and since i wasn't even IN seattle for the shows :(...yea no idea about the drunk/make-out couple. as annoying as that may be tho, i'll take it over drunken screamers who mosh right into you, at a seated gig! :P

I was in 114 on night 2 ... before PJ went on I did see a couple making out pretty heavily a few rows in front of me ... (so, around row 7 or so?) ...

There was one couple, with a tall dude, that kept coming in and out of their seats like he had a bladder issue ... they took off halfway through the first set.

Couple in front of me snuggled the entire show ... even during songs like Got Some and Not For You, they jsut held each other and swayed .... awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

I think you were the dude next to me on both nights (noting the top of your dome in your avatar) ... were you in 128 the night before?

My gal left early on night 2 ... (I think the Jager shots at McHughs did her in).

Thanks. That was Evil-Little-Goat. She was just a friend. A new friend. My buddy from Portland couldn't make it, so she grabbed the tix. We had fun.
