And, no, this seller isn't me -- i'm in Alabama ... no orange vinyls to be had down here.

It's sad - there are plenty of folks that would love to have been lucky enough to snag one of these and this schmuck gets one and hocks it for a a nutty amount of cash a mere days afterwards....

No better than scalping IMO... but it is what it is.

I wonder how many of these give-away's they will do, and for how long...I guess we'll have to wait and see. Just hope they start heading east!

If they are selling these in the Goods soon for $5.99 im going to laugh my lungs out for the ones why gets it for $100 on e-bay.

Its a better deal to get the UK 7" 180-gram vinyl for £1.09, yes its a 7" 180-gram vinyl.

 Me too! We'll see what happens down the road...

Someone mentioned in a thread that there were about 400 orange vinyls given out to indie record stores... so who knows how many they've really made for sale later?

I am not surprised to see it happening...and I'm sure PJ/10c knew it would eventually lead to ebay auctions.

I'd think that if I were in that organization and saw a lot of them up for auctions, then I wouldn't do this again for the fans. But so far, there has been only one on ebay and I think that is good...

Just out of curiosity - this person claims to be having financial difficulties and who knows if that's true or not... but judging from this person's previous purchases...doesn't seem to me that those items were "necessary" in order to "survive" but for luxury. Of course that's just one opinion.

    Three purchases for example:

    Wholesale Lot - Ice bucket & Rabbit Corkscrew for 29.99, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0402857807

Larson 12x12 Soft Box RS <<new>> Overstock Sale (for photographers) for $75, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0389247374

    Coldplay tickets for $170, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0344508728

Additionally, this seller has had 1,058 Feedback received for items sold since 2006 and only 57 feedbacks for items purchased.

This seller clearly saw an opportunity to make money off of this rare orange vinyl... and did not even cease to consider that a true PJ fan would absolutely cherish this gift at no cost.

Like the poster above said, it is what it is.... really too bad. :(

  • sometimes I think that the only way to win these contests should be if you are a 10C member. But I guess they want to promote these things to bring new people in..........

  • if it weren't for people selling a few of these on ebay then a lot of people (like me) wouldn't have an opportunity to try and get one. i hope they do this again. i think it's a cool idea and it gets people out to their local record stores.

I kinda think... Who cares? I mean once you own something it is yours to do whatever you want with it. Some people have more money than others and can afford to buy it off this guy. We're a capitalistic society and you can sell any and all of your shit if you choose. It's the people who pay 80+ bucks for this little piece of plastic that might need to consider that they might have a problem.

More like 40-50. One for each CIMS stores and 10 or so for friends and family. These will never be sold or given out after the tweet thing is over. This is going to end up being one of the most rare vinyls ever.

BTW, these are the shops you should be buying your pj goods at, not target.
... are we going to the same place?

The problem is that no one is confirming the # made or if they'll do another giveaway later on... so people might be paying crazy amounts for something that might be available for free later, or they might not. It's a huge gamble, and I really can't believe they'd just press 50 cpoies of a record on a different colored vinyl.

    If only we knew...

    No SF Locations... LAME.

There are more out there like anything these days. I mean does anyone really believe that Bennaroya Vinyl was as limited as we've been told? I don't.

They keep popping up out of the woodwork sealed etc.

Guarenteed they have a bunch of them still in the PJ Compound for their own use.
