Personally, I think it's a good idea to introduce some new elements to the live show. The horn section should provide more depth to the music. Nice to see them experiment.
They were crushed and dying in the dirt.
We tried to pick up the pieces,
And get away without getting hurt,
But they caught us at the state line,
And burned our cars in one last fight,
And left us running burned and blind,
Chasing something in the night.

maybe at it's worst, it's just a tour thing...like when they had their back-up singers last tour...
it makes it seem like Pearl Jam is considering becoming some Arena Rock band like Bon Jovi or something...i mean i guess all bands with longevity tend to fallow that route, but it scares me. You know, replacing band members with young kids. Like The Who and Van Halen. Suddenly those Super Bowl rumors will come true
that's what i'm saying!! those instruments add a depth and richness to the music!!!
anybody who is a Moody Blues Fan knows what i mean.

The horn section on the VH1 performance of The Real Me sounded brilliant, can only imagine this was a good thing. I have no problem with string sections either, its all good for the colouring of the song.
