Holy crap... if you told me that clip was a long-lost Nirvana song from the Bleach era, I would definitely believe you.

  • wow, i thougth that too, meaning the whole song sounded bleach-esque. forgot to post it tho.

i'll have to listen to that piece when I can - but i agree in places it sounded like cobain, and the whole song sounds like it could be from that album.

I don't think there are any places where it sounds like Cobain, at least vocally. But yes, it does sound like it could be from a hypothetically remade Bleach album with completely new production. Musically there are some similarities.

for the least they could possibly do
  • I guess that would explain why it's the worst album opener to date. Amazing album...but bad opener

Are you guys listening to the same section I am? (2:11 - 2:18)

Weiland could NEVER hit those high notes, in any era.

  • its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too polished and produced to be a bleach song. but its a cool song though. Matt's drumming is insane here.

yeah. it just doesn't click with me. same way "severed hand" never clicked either. it just suffers from "one of these things is not like the other"

...for a second I thought this thread was going to be about the PJ version of Rock Band.

    Glad it's not.

I hear the song "Down" by STP during the chorus.

I think it sounds like a Rush song from "Roll the Bones", mixed with Aerosmith vocals
