Hank Williams III

I've recently discovered Hank Williams III (Yes, Hank Jr.'s son and Hank Williams' grandson). This dude is just plain crazy. You can listen to his music/live performances on youtube. He is not a mainstream country music artist because of his mostly vulgar and outrageous lyrics, but he does have Best Buy and Amazon promoting his band's new album. He's taken a stance to fight the establishment in country music that has allowed a "pop" sound to take over the industry. He also campaigns to have his grandfather reinstated to the Grand 'Ol Opry (Hank Sr. was kicked out of the Opry for being too much of a hellraiser - no lie.). Hank III's music isn't for everyone (it's actually pretty disturbing), but it sure is worth listening to at least once.

    I like hank III in moderation.

    Not my thing but i have some of his stuff and it is interesting.

    Hank III is a rocker's country musician. Great stuff. Although I'm not a fan of his 'metal' side. I've seen him twice now, always a good show, at least until the encore.
