So sorry if this has been posted but I'll post in case it hasen't. It's an interview with Mike where he talks about leftover songs and says they've got big plans for them.

    Mike said in a radio interview last month that there are another 11 songs from the backspacer sessions. Stone also talked about a song by Ed that is 9 minutes long. Ed has mentioned that there are 2 or 3 songs that will likely be on the next record and Mike specifically said "E.P. in about 6 months" last month in an interview.

    Odd that they'd have 11 songs left over from a 37 minute album. You'd think they'd have put a couple more on the album. So maybe they do have plans for a B-side release or another album in a year or two rather than 3 or 4.
