Pitchfork (again)

How about this quote "The back half of the album sure isn't inclined to help, largely abandoning even the modest steamrolling enjoyment of the record's initial jolt in favor of thoroughly forgettable mid-tempo dreck, save for "Speed of Sound", which nonetheless sounds like a band trying to be the Ramones minus the fun."

So obviously this guy was talking about Supersonic and not "Speed of Sound". No one in their right mind would compare SOS to the Ramones. This guys loses all credability right there...how do you publish a review, critizize a song and cite the wrong song name. Piss poor Joshy...piss poor. Looks like he listened to the album once and didn't even proof his own work. Typical pitchfork boilerplate bs.

    Why is everyone so butthurt over the Pitchfork review? the guy who reviewed Backspacer didn't like it, I didn't like it, lots of people don't like this album, get over it.

    I have no problem with the criticism (and was not expecting much more from this from PF)...but at least do your homework and cite the correct name of the song you are critical of, that is all i am saying here.

    My problem with Pitchfork is that they aren't really reviewing records, they're determining the "cool" factor of a band or something instead of listening with an open mind.

    When they gave Oasis Heathen Chemistry a 1.2 without even writing a proper review, I stopped caring what their opinion was.
