I could be wrong here, but bands never soundcheck the second night when playing the same place, right?
I wouldnt get too carried away here - that does not make any sense between being soundchecked tonight and the fact that its being pulled out of the blue like that.
oh they're gonna save it for Philly. But a little practice never hurt anybody.
I hate to burst the Seattle bubble ... but often ... not always, but often ... a song that gets soundchecked one night doesn't show up for a few days.
Just sayin'
That is true. However, if they really soundchecked it 3 times, I would think there is a high chance they play it tonight. If they weren't going to play it for a few nights, I wouldn't think they would spend all that time working on getting it right. I guess we will see in a few hours!
i so hope you get it tonight guys, but don't be too disappointed if you don't. fatal was soundchecked twice at newcastle in 06, and has not been played since. I think it's going to be a killer show. last nights was awesome.
Do I dare question you? Somehow that seems unlikely. But I swear to you right now, if they play No Way tonight. And I mean tonight only, I will buy you the bootleg when it comes on sale. Count on it!
(PS I'm not fuckin jokin, either.)
get this.....they haven't played No way since they made bootlegs.......
I am going to Vancouver and am a habitual setlist checker. I am so excited, but have got into the catch 22 of being damned for ruining the surprise if they do, and the disappointment if they don't.
Either way - WOW.

You are completely wrong. While it is called a soundcheck, it's not just to check the sound, it's also to get ready for the shows. Many bands soundcheck every night even when playing a venue multiple times. That's especially common when it's an act that mixes the set up. Springsteen soundchecked every night of his 15 night stand in 1999 at the Meadowlands so the band could learn rarities for each night's show.
I'm sure they are soundchecking to get the song right - or at least fit it in for a future show. Be it Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Philly... or not at all.

It still makes no sense they would soundcheck both nights - do they ever do that?
And what else was soundchecked if they did do that?
I share your skepticism re. No Way being played, but yes, they have soundchecked on second nights, I do believe. They often use soundchecks to brush up on songs.

I had always been told the first night they soundcheck and the second night they rehearse backstage if need be... this just doesn't add up for me but the OP seems reputable.

Well, if it means anything, its seems that the No Way report comes from at least two separate sources ... I want to believe it.

I hope I am wrong... I just don't think PJ has soundchecked two shows in a row much if at all in the past tours.
