Anyone seen or own this?? I'm really wanting to purchase it, but would like to hear opinions from the board if at all possible.

I did search before posting and only found info on the album Warpaint, which is great by the way.

Haven't seen, but I can recommend the Freak n Roll....Into the Fog dvd/cd and Brothers of a Feather dvd/cd.

I'd be surprised as hell to find out that the Warpaint dvd was bad in any way.

I think you can get Freak n Roll and Warpaint on bluray.

Freak 'n' Roll is the shit. Damn I miss Marc Ford.

Luther has really grown on me though.

To the OPs question. I have not seen it. Probably good though since anything connected to Warpaint is inherently good.

Man, I saw the Crowes so many times during 94-97. He was/is a fucking bad ass. I will never forget the back-to-back shows here in Dallas in 1995 at this little fucking dump of a converted abandonded warehouse called The Bomb Factory. I wish they kept good recordings of that era because they were hard to beat then.

Luther is great, much better than the merry-go-round they had at that spot for awhile. But Marc is the man.

i really wish I could've seen them in that era...or with Marc Ford in general. Catching them in 2005 with their reunion would've been great too. Oh well, saw them in 07, and I'll be seeing them in November. Can't fucking wait. I love this band.

OK, I just bought this for $5 off ebay and I've watched it twice.

If you are a fan of Warpaint, this is a must own. They go through the entire album in order and then throw in some covers and a couple of older songs at the end.

Fantastic performance. Very well shot. Chris sounds great and Luther's talent really shows. And the highlight (for me anyway) is a superb rendition of Bad Luck Blue Eyes Goodbye, which is one of my favorite songs my them.

One warning though, there are no hits on here. No Jealous Again, She Talks to Angels, Remedy, etc. And there aren't many of the long extended jams for which they are known. But the covers they do play are great (I Don't Know Why, Hey Grandma, Poor Elijah, etc.). They are a great cover band.

Now I am fired up to see them next week in Dallas. They always put on a great show here and I love the venue they always choose, the Palladium Ballroom - perfect for them.

Great!!! Sounds like I need to get this. I actually listened to the album of this on imeem.com and loved it. I personally think Warpaint is excellent, so this DVD is now obviously a must own for me.

Hell yeah Flagg!!! Have a great time in Dallas. I'll be sure to check crowesbase.com to see the setlists you are blessed with ;).

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll get "Welcome To The Goodtimes" :D:D:D:D

Thanks. Will have a great time as always. Personally hoping Sometimes Salvation.

Yeah the avatar is the Cowboys stadium. It is so unbeliveably huge and spaceship-like that sports radio down here calls it the Death Star.

    A few things...

    1. I don't own Warpaint Live DVD yet, but will buy after what I witnessed this past Friday. Freak n Roll is a great disc though.

    2. Luther is awesome, but I agree with the general consensus in this thread, which is that Marc Ford is/was the man.

    3. I saw the band on the Southern Harmony tour in February, 1993 and I still say it's the best live rock and roll show I've ever been to. I could go on and on about how stellar the band looked and sounded, but let's just say that I've been to hundreds of rock shows and this is still #1 for me. And it too was at a dumpy little venue, the old Austin City Coliseum, but that just added to the vibe.

    4. Saw them for only the third time this past Friday at House of Blues in Orlando. They were absolutely fantastic. The highlight? Sometimes Salvation, with Good Friday being a close second. Southern Harmony is my favorite record of theirs and the only track that I tend to skip on it is Sometimes Salvation. But it was absolutely amazing on Friday. Again, I'll spare you all the hyperbole and details, but do yourself a favor and catch them live again. They really are an incredible band that has always stayed true to what they know best, no matter what the trends are in the music industry. Kudos to them for that, and for still being an absolutely kick-ass live band.

    Setlist from Friday:
    Good Morning Captain
    Make Glad
    She Gave Good Sunflower
    Another Roadside Tragedy
    Shine Along
    What is Home
    Roll Old Jeremiah
    Good Friday
    I Ain't Hiding
    Sometimes Salvation
    Movin On Down The Line
    A Conspiracy
    Twice as Hard
    Been A Long Time

    Encore:
    So Many Times
    The Mighty Quinn

That's a great set! I'll post about mine after Friday. This will be show #20 for me, streching back all the way to 1990. Wow!! I first saw them opening for Aerosmith in 1990. Since then it has been bowling alleys, abandoned warehouses, theaters, ampitheaters, Billy Bob's in Ft. Worth, festivals, casinos, a fucking run-down abandoned building called The Bomb Factory back-to-back in 1995.

I've never traveled to see them but I have seen every show in the DFW area since 1990. So looking forward to Friday night.

I wish I would have seen them more often. I remember they were on the Horde Festival one year in Raleigh and I didn't go. And I also wanted to see them in 2001 in Chicago on the Brotherly Love Tour with Oasis, but couldn't get a babysitter... I'm jealous (again) that you've seen them that many times.

you know what sucks about it? the show i saw in austin in 1993? they don't have the setlist. i sent in that they opened with no speak, no slave because i remember that, but couldn't remember the rest of the set. and of course, like the mythical pearl jam 11/7/93 mesa, az show, there's no bootleg anywhere of this show... DAMN!!! 2 of my all-time favorite shows and i can't relive either of them...
