  • Yep 8.5 and Pitchfork and go f@*k themselves!

  • That damn Pitchfork review cost Backspacer 4 points. Now at 81.
  • i dig metacritic... nice summary.

does anyone really take pitchfofk seriously?.. effing hipster doofus'. they only like stuff no one's heard of.. the musicians that think they're reinventing the hook cuz they over-use different instruments etc.

I'm a little surprised by Paste's score of the album seeing as they devoted their entire site to all things Pearl Jam! Seriously, the review by Paste doesn't really say anything negative about the album and yet they give it a low rating...strange

Yeah, damn Pitchfork! Backspacer is definitely more of an 85 than an 81. And don't think I'm gonna be satisfied if it climbs back up to - say - 84. 85 or death, I say. Backspacer deserves better than this!
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

  • Backspacer has received Universal Acclaim. A lot of non-review stories that I'm seeing about the album say things like "critically acclaimed" and "well received." Just do a Google search for "Backspacer review" and see all the glowing reviews. I don't like the way Metacritic does their music scores. I think more magazines and newspapers should be used and fewer hipster web sites. USA Today, Time, Newsweek, Washington Post, New York Post and the Chicago Tribune (among others) all write decent reviews and should be included.
