That said I'm all about Meijer in the midwest.0 -
He simply shared about their accomplishment of getting a Record in a store like that. . . .as was said. "Now all we have to do is to get them to sell record players"
Can we get some 10Club edition record players? 8o)0 -

Wal*Mart is so hit and miss. Some are complete dumps (the one by my house) while others are pretty nice. The new extra large Wal*Mart is too big imo. takes half an hour to walk thru it. i'm sure they like it that way.

Sicko wrote:Tonight at the Key Ed informed the crowd he'd purchased the Band's own record at Target on Sunday (really?). Is this a new Pearl Jam? What type of message is this sending? What are the details behind this partnership?
Somebody REALLY needs to explain why the Target deal is an issue.
REALLY
They needed them for distribution. They now own their music.
Sony used to own them. Sony is a huge corporation.
I will NEVER understand how everyone is fucking cutting this down.0 -
To me... it just sounds like people read way too deep into what Eddie says.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

Target does sell record players! Take a left at your record and it's 3 aisles on the right, Ed!I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too.

Pretty soon they'll sell record players, it'll be great" Then they went into The Fixer screaming "fight to get it back again"...I kinda thought what he said was more about trying to bring good music and vinyl back into the mainstream, rather than marketing for Target.
agree... he was talking about the vinyl, actually I was expecting 'spin the black circle' after that statement... viva la vynil!!!Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - Jul 15, 2006

I bought the vinyl today at target and the cashier was like "OMG, is that an actual albumn!" LOL. If only I had a record player!0

Quit the bitching about what he said, at least they came and played within 800 miles of you. If it wasnt Target taking a piece of the pie it would be a BS record company ripping PJ off in the process. They gave them a hell of a deal and they would have been dumb not too accept.0
