Does anyone else love albums the way I do?

Am I the only one who finds the latest album out to be the best?
I'm constantly craving new music. I never get hung up on nostalgia.
I listen to the latest album to death, and after a few years I retire it. Sure I'll revisit it every now and then, but nothing like the intensity I had with it during its first few months of its release. I revisited Ten with the Redux recently and loved it, but that quickly fizzled. Music to me is like a soundtrack to life. Ten was a track on that soundtrack from years ago.
Yes, Backspacer is my favorite album right now, as Avocado was in '06, as Riot Act in '03 and so on.. Those albums bring back old memories, some more favorable than others, but my mind needs to make new memories and needs a new challenge.
I hope Pearl Jam keeps releasing music as often as possible, and if I lose interest in what they are doing, I will find something else new to hit the spot.
Thank god, Backspacer is really hitting the spot right now.

i tend to mix it up. listening to a lot of Sun Kil Moon (new to me!) and other stuff lately, but i tend to switch back and forth between old stuff and new stuff pretty often. Helps stave off overplaying new songs i like, too.
Backspacer is definitely getting heavy rotation right now. i keep wanting to give it a rest so i won't get tired of it, but i keep finding reasons to play it again! thats a good sign.
I think I have not been obsessed with an album this way since Yield
