BACKSPACER IS GREAT!!!!!!!!

Fuck the critics and the spoiled little bitches who have nothing but negatives to say about B.S. This is a GREAT record from start to finish. I just wanted to say that, better loud than too late.......

One question: Im not like the paper but more like fold, cut the crease put the shit in the hole !?..What the fuck does that mean? It sounds good but it sounds like a great way to get a paper cut. That shit stings.

    I agree with you on the great part. but who's bad-mouthing this lp? every review I've come across was positive. and if you look up Backspacer on wikipedia, it lists all the "real" music mags from both USA and UK and all of them are like 4 stars or more. so while I also agree that we should fuck the critics and the spoiled little bitches (in general), I'm glad I'm not seeing the lp get bashed. :P

    You can't please everyone. There isn't a single PJ album that fans have come to a consensus on. Backspacer is, at least, the first album in a long time that critics seems to have come to a positive agreement about.

    woo! i am loving it more and more with each day. it is making my friggin days at work better cause i have it in the back of my mind, with certain parts of songs starting to be retained in memory. it's awesome. and the other day i discovered the amongst the wave solo. shit. fuck. awesome. went up a notch when i saw the lyrics, then went up another notch when i clicked with the solo (try listening to it under the influence). man. awesome!

    can't wait to hear the reviews from seattle. have fun everyone there!

    Five stars for me. Spin and Rollingstone gave it solid reviews. All the haters have warrantless opinions. They just don't want to lose that sense of faux-individuality because PJ seems a bit more commercial again. They can suck it.

    I thought long and hard about it, and I have to say that Backspacer is their best record since the Avacado record.

    i like it like a fat kid like cake :lol: i can kind of understand other folks not 'getting it' or just plain disappointed because they expected and wanted darker songs, more solos, more off-center arrangements, whatever. but i find it hard to understand how one could overlook the quality here. but everyone's got an opinion...

    Anyone who says this album is not a masterpiece needs to turn the volume WAY UP!

    Eddie is both aggressive and subdued, at times poignant and completely honest. He's not holding anything back on this record.

    Mike and Stone are, as usual, rockin the fuck out on those guitars, adding so much colour to the sound of the songs which brings me to my next point...

    The album is very much a rhythm driven album, Jeff and Matt are at their finest. Period.

    This album is so short because you'll want to play it twice.
