Pre and post show bar for Fans in Los Angeles

Hey coming down from Toronto for the Oct 1 show, in Toronto they usally host a charity at a bar, and wondering if the same thing is happening Los Angeles that pearl jam fans will go to?

    there is no official preparty because everyone in L.A is too laid back to get to shows early! :lol:

    i know there is a cool bar at the end of citywalk before you get to universal ampitheatre but dont recall the name..but have drank there a few times before shows...

    The bars at Universal City Walk are convenient, but damn, they are all lame and mainstream. There is a British pub a few blocks away called "Fox & Hound". There is also a great Indian restaurant near Fox/Hound called Lal Mirch...best Indian food I have ever had!

    So I am going to go out on a limb here. Let's start the offical pre party a Karl Strauss Brewery on City Walk, basically take over the bar. Decent beers and pub grog. The Amphitheater is only steps away (no driving)

    I am going to at least 2 of the shows so plan on having a standing "Pre-Party" for the entire 4 day show period

    Interesting name....are you from the L.A area?
    Out of Towners MIGHT get lost trying to find Karl Strauss at the city walk since its upstairs. Thats a good place though and my first choice. How will everyone know how to identify you? :?

    I will stop on in, going to Oct 6 and 7. Will there be anything going on after the show?

    And if anyone needs an extra for the 7th as of right now I have one. Got it through TM, my brother can't make the trip. Loge 15 Row M.

    Changing subjects a little, I am staying at Hotel Amarano and I have figured out how to get to the show via a bus, just wondering after the show if there will be taxis available as it appears the bus stops running at 9 pm or so.
