It's definitely pretty cool, I was surprised by the yield-esq hole in the middle. I thought more than the keys would glow-in-the-dark though (is the indie version the same?) and was hoping for more artwork in the liner notes but overal I like it a lot..

Funny how in that Midden Messages thread, we all wondered who the girl in the red dress is... as does Ed in Johhny Guitar... "Can't help but wonder where and who she is"

I think the artwork is odd, but pretty sweet. I love the typewriter keys. That part is cool as is the black pages, really makes the artwork pop.

BTW I found the record at Target today and the artwork looks insane HUGE! I do really love that!!

    Viva la Vinyl!! :D

I love it... but, I was a big fan of 'This Modern World' in LA/OC Weeklys. Maybe the next album will have a 'Life In Hell' cover.

Yeh but Tom Tomorrow took an aspect of their whole career and threw it on the cover....I like that about him....

No Code: Everyones initial comparison with the contrasting boxed photos look similiar.
Vitalogy: The anatomy drawing and the brain drawing are straight from vitalogy.
Yield: Another hole in the cover. (Does that cost more or less to make I wonder, hmm?)
    Binaural: Moon man... Outer Space.
Riot Act: The Skull and Devils drawing conjur up images of the green disease skull & bu$hleauger....)
Vs.: The burning train drawing is like an attacking sheep. Angst. :x
Ten: There is a fair share of pink & rose red just like on Ten.
Live on Two Legs: Pimp under Two Legs.

The only thing this f#ckin cover is missin is a f#ckin avocado!

  • Here are my predictions of who those kid photos are of:

    Brendan O'Brien (top left)
    Matt (top right)
    Stone (middle left)
    Jeff (middle right)
    Ed (bottom left)
    Mike (bottom right)

I might have Jeff and Matt mixed up, and I hope that's not Tom Tomorrow instead of Brendan.

You wouldn't expect anything poor from them in the artwork department. There is no band that can match the consistantly outstanding artwork. They always leave you have to work out something for yourself such as incomplete lyrics to the photo's. I am sure we all have work out the pictures for ourselves, maybe a good Ten Club contest?

The vinyl sleeve and booklet are immense. I'm really digging the artwork and have the turntable on warming up ready for a good listen through the album later on today.
