Well, it's gone midnight, it's the 21st September, so when do itunes release Backspacer for the Uk / Europe?!?! The pre-order link has gone down, so something soon? Hope so, I got a plane to catch tmw...
I pre-ordered it yesterday, or so I thought, it seemed to go through fine, and when I accidently clicked the link again it said 'you have already pre-ordered this item'. I didn't get an email as they always seem to take like three days from iTunes so never worried about it.
I just logged on to download it and it said there was nothing available for download to my PC, checked on the link, it still had it for pre-ordering, clicked pre-order again and it said the item was had changed and was no longer available. I then found the item available as 'buy now' went in and had a look and it was a 'complete my album' as I already have Supersonic. All very odd, as now I'll not get the bonus track (to be fair I do have a few versions of Better Man already).
Not sure what to do now, as I was being a tad excessive by pre-ordering it, I've a CD coming from 10C but wanted to listen to the album asap and can't access NME/we7 streaming or MySpace at work.
I've got iTunes 9, but it doesn't look like it is an LP, just a normal download.

Ok, so this morning at stupid o clock when I woke up I realised I really wanted to listen to the album today, and downloaded it from iTunes.
I also sent an email to iTunes customer services asking I could do anything to solve the problem with the pre-order and stop it happening again (I figure it was something I'd done if I am honest).
Just had a reply from them, only able to read it on my phone but basically saying they were sorry, it looks like I managed to cancel my original pre-order by mistake but that they had problems with the pre-order turning into an 'order now' on the system over night. They were glad I had continuted to purchase the album and not to worry, they are going to give me a full refund plus an extra 79p to buy a track to replace the missing 'Better Man' bonus track. I can buy any track by any artist, but if I wanted that one track, they'd done a search of thier catalogue and found a very good live version on the Bridge School CD but it was just Eddie Vedder (I do have this but hey they aren't to know). They also pointed out that I should have a look in the digital booklet as it was the new style and contained a link to the bonus download of two concerts, which they'd not advertised on the non US version of iTunes, but were available internationally. The email was really cheerful, and as long as the refund happens, I'll be sending them a message of compliment as that is very good customer services!!

It's not a full iTunes "LP" release in the UK - the digital booklet is still pretty cool though - and the links to download the two free live shows worked fine. Happy Days!
