Anyone know of any cheap knockoffs or anything like these programs available online. I wish I had the money for a Mac, but I don't. I also wish I had the money to buy the full Pro Tools...but, again, I don't. I tried to d/l them, but felt bad and deleted them.

  • If you are looking to edit audio material, Audacity is a free open source program and similar to Pro Tools.
    Good luck.

yup--Audacity isn't bad at all. i have an old G4 iBook with Garageband4 on it, i believe. it's a great computer---it just need to have the video card replaced. (the screen is black--even when it's on. it's a common problem w/ iBooks)i'd be willing to sell it to ya pretty cheap if you're interested. it's just collecting dust on our shelf. i've been quoted at $200 or so for the parts/labor. just let me know.
