Listened to the track today and I felt like I had been electrocuted from head to toe...the energy I felt from this song made me feel alive like I haven't felt in years....it made me cry...not the words I was hearing, just the pure energy that I felt..........it felt really good to feel again......thank you so much Pearl Jam...you unlocked something I wasn't sure was there anymore........but now I know.....it is.

    Totally agree!! At the bus stop I suddenly realized that people were actually staring at me because I was rocking out in my own little head phone world! Just something about the drums, it just plain kicks ass!

    Great song huh - sounds so much better on the album here than the live version from Conan O'Brien. How unbelievably awesome is it to feel this feeling again - I'm totally on the same high as you. I've listened to the album so many times already and enjoyed it right from the very first listen. I haven't felt this good listening to anything for a long time, and it's so unexpected too - what a sweet surprise this Backspacer is!

    Tears of Joy....been a fan since I was 19....and I was 19 in 1991....18 years with this band..don't give a flying fuck if you get it or not :roll: ;) laugh all ya want ya dope....

    Now that was funny!! And purely joking man, I swear. I feel ya; we are the same age, and I too have been along for the same exact 18 year ride and couldn't be prouder of this band and their vitality in my life still. :mrgreen:

    funny you mentioned crying.

    Speed of Sound made me cry like a fuckin' baby. I swear, sometimes I feel robbed. Like Eddie reaches in my head and writes my feelings.
