Avocado vs Backspacer...

Which album would you say is better?
I still need to listen to Backspacer more to make a call.
I'd say they are even.

    Backspacer is definitely better than Avo, but i like songs on Avo better than songs on Backspacer, but everything from mixing, to sound quality, to the track listing, Backspacer''s just a well put together album

    I think the best songs on Avocado are better than the best songs on Backspacer....but as a whole, I probably like Backspacer more.

    i LOVE avocado but its not even close. backspacer blows it away. backspacer is already up there with yield as my favorite album of all time. give it some more time and i think i will honestly say it's my favorite album ever, surpassing yield. it just has so much powerful emotion. it's incredible.

    I think avacado im very dissapointed in Backspacer, johnny guitar, force of nature, unthought unkown speed of sound are for me up there with some of pearl jams worst songs i dont think this album will last long in my cd player. Im still sticking on avacado now and again cant see me doing this next month never mind next year with Backspacer.

    I feel this way about it.....

    S/T has stronger tracks, but doesnt flow as good as Backspacer

    Backspacer is also produced above and beyond better than S/T

    At first i LOVED backspacer (new pj syndrome).But now im leaning towards S/T more....

    S/T just meant so much to me in that point of my life.....i went from a boy to a man (got married, had a baby, started earning real money)

    S/T for me......

    Comeback blows away anything on Backsacer IMHO

    i like Backspacer more than Avocado, and i also agree with a lot of the posts in this thread. BS just sounds a LOT better, in my opinion. But S/T has some amazing songs (Marker, Parachutes, Inside Job, LIfe Wasted)...i also like the overall feeling of BS better. i truly think it's tied with Binaural as their best work since Yield.

    i think most of us are in agreement that as a whole album put together Backspacer is better but when it comes to individual songs, Avocado is better...it's just what is more important to the listener...some people say a good album is a one with a lot of good songs, and some people think that just the overall album and how it flows is what makes an album good, and that there can be great albums without hit songs. i'm in the latter group, but others are in the first group...

    Backspacer is a tad more consistent in good songs, but none of them beat Life Wasted, WWS, Big Wave, and Unemployable. Although GSMF and Got Some are very close.

    At the same time Come Back and Parachutes cant beat Unthought Known and Amongst.

    Im leaning towards Avocado for sheer sentimental value. I miss 2006 so much

    I'd say that Backspacer is a great followup to Avocado. Amongst The Waves seems like a complimenting song to Inside Job (soundwise) and I could mention other songs complimenting other albums too.
