No, you cant have it it. I cant even believe you of all people would ever step foot in a Target! So Pearl Jam making a commercial makes them hypocrites but you walking into Target to buy the album makes you what?

I'd really like to know what is wrong with target distributing the record. Someone has to do it. Indi record stores are looked after, 10c members are looked after and itunes downloaders are looked after. Big business does not necessarily mean bad business. We all rely on big corporations every day and Pearl Jam has since day one. I trust the band to make the ethical and moral choice that suits them best and drive the best deal for all concerned. You can't piss into the wind all your life.

agreed.
could you imagine all of the PJ fan suicides if they went with Wal-Mart rather than Target....?
get over yourselves people. where would you buy the album in the first place? don't cop out and say the indie stores or the mom-and-pop stores either.

maybe if they didnt have just one distributer they wouldnt be able to offer the bonus stuff which they are- tshirt, or concerts- who knows. It does not matter where it is sold.

I don't really know much about the ownership of Target etc.
Being from Winnipeg, Canada, we have no targets up here...but I've been to quite a few in the US and I've always been impressed with how target supports their community.
there is always a billboard or display up once you get through the checkout showing local initiatives that they've funded and they've always seemed significant.
