What's With The KC Media? Is Blackout A Four Letter Word?

It's hard to find current News regarding NFL Game Blackouts on Cable, Newspaper and Internet.

But when the local station (the station that would broadcast the game if it was Sold Out) talks about Sunday's game with the Raider, they do not mention that the game is blacked out. It's the CBS affiliate, KCMO, channel 5.

What they do show is the Sunday morning line up with the local pregame shows and the CBS NFL Today national pregame show. And, of course, no Chiefs... :evil:

Seems odd to me. It's as if someone has a bad disease and it's all hush-hush when the subject could be taken up and talked about.

Fuck the NFL. I want my Chiefs on TV!!!!
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace

And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool

    Quit crying at least you get to watch them on tv most of the time. ;) I understand the anxiety though, it's probably their best opportunity for a win all year. I'm a KC native and lifelong Chiefs fan, and I remember the dark days of the 80's when the home games were almost always blacked out, except when they played the Raiders. I'm shocked they didn't at least sell out that game. I realize the matchup has lost a bit of its luster with the Chiefs and Raiders both bottom feeders now, but they're still their oldest rivals.

    I signed up for the "NFL Redzone" on Dish Network. I got to watch several drives in last week's game. And I listen to the Fox on streaming radio, so it's the next best thing to watching the whole game. Better than nothing.

    I'm not anxious and I'm not crying. I'm just pissed. Also wondering why the local station cannot state on the air that the game is blacked out.

    We're gonna have fun watching this sad sack Chiefs team this year. God bless 'em. :P
