Maybe it's too soon to call this, but it seems like this record is being received even more warmly than Avocado. Best critical reception since Yield, perhaps?

i think the upbeat tone of this album has helped out alot...for the most part it isnt political or even angry...it just seems like the guys are content in their lives and with the things around them and because of this they put on some good tunes on this new album

I remember around when Binaural came out some of the negative press seemed to center around "What does Eddie have to be angry about anymore?" Insinuating that age had given him less to write about. Some people seem to think that great art comes from difficult circumstances. I guess that in many cases this is true. I mean, PJ did some of their best work (Vitalogy, for example) when they were about ready to kill eachother. But good music can come from a place of comfort, too.

Man, I can't wait to hear this record! Is it mail time yet?

They don't have Backspacer up yet but we'll see in a couple of weeks. I agree, I'm seeing a lot of 4 out of 5's, less that are very negative.
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river
