  • 10C version has the downloadable shows, too....

    Different packaging as well...

    8-)
    33...
  • the 10c disc just gives a link to the goods section for downloads. I didnt see any indication that anything was free. If I missed something let me know or I will have to buy another cd from target.
  • plus target shoppers get great deals on toilet paper :D

  • As of now -- and i don't know if this will change -- the only versions that come with free downloadable shows are the Target and iTunes versions.

  • Why is this?
Drop, drop, dropping it down...oh, so gently...

so many posters on here have been saying the 10C version does come with the free downloads...i am not sure what to believe. some people say wait until sunday and then the free downloads will be available for the 10C version...? it's all kind of confusing, really.

anyone, great album, i am absolutely loving it so far!!!!!
  • This is just a guess, but if you look at the spine of the CD jacket, there is a code on the bottom. Maybe this is a promotional code that allows us to access free downloads later?? Any ideas?

Like i said, i don't know if it will change -- but the last word i got, and that was on pretty good authority, is that the only versions with the free downloads are the non-10Club versions.

But who knows ... that could change come Sunday -- or next Sunday, or ...

i think that i recall someone a month or more ago posting that 10C told them no free downloads with the 10C edition, but then i read so many comments of people saying it matter of factly that ALL versions contained free downloads that i guess i started to believe 'em! i guess i just wanted to believe it ;-)
  • I think we all were hoping for a little more than just cooler packaging ...

But who knows -- maybe we'll get something ... the 10Club usually takes care of us, in one way or another. I'm just glad i got to pay the band directly for the record.

10 Club: $13.99 for hard cover case which may or may not have the downloadable concerts
Target: $9.99 for regular packaging + free concert downloads + free Rock Band download code + free T-shirt.

Better deal? You better believe Target shoppers get the better deal!

Oh, I didn't think you got a free t-shirt with that $9.99 Target purchase - I thought you had to buy the shirt separately?
  • I don't think you get a t-shirt along with the record for $10 ...

Those Loomstate shirts are pretty expensive -- just look at the company's Web site. From what i understand, the shirt will be sold separately for $20.

That was my understanding too.. furthermore, the free Rock Band download code is not 'free'.. it's $20 more expensive, as you must get the 'Deluxe Edition' for that code.

  • All the versions are using E-Bridge technology. This means that when you put the CD into your PC/Mac, it will allow you to access some website and preview and download your 2 fav boots from the list. I can imagine that the website will be up and running on Sunday.

ah, so maybe on sunday when we click on the "concert downloads" link that appears when we load backspacer's disc into our computers it will take us to the free downloads. for now it only takes us to the downloads for purchase. it does say they will update content all the time, so i suppose this makes sense.

i love the enchanced cd and hope to see some cool stuff available with it from time to time.

if they offer a cheaper price and more extras through target or itunes
    I will be upset

but I dont see that happening
  • Saw the Target ad early and it is $12.88 (limited quantities, while supplies last), no mention of T-Shirt or the collectors edition with the Rockband code. It is a 1/3 page ad and then they are also pimping it on the TV screens in the ad as well. As far as I know the Rockband code is only available in the collector's edition but the ad made no mention of it.

I'm just waiting for the Target version.

Maybe the 10c is thinking "Well, they got their discs FIRST didn't they?" Maybe that's the benefit of getting it through them... lol!

    Who knows...
  • Is it in Target yet? Supposed to be Sun, but confused now by the Ten Club e-mail sent out saying it was in stores.

received my version as well - just went to the shop today. yeayeah :)

anyways, im quite confused about all those different versions. i bought the "deluxe version", so thats pretty nice digipak with the 2 free downloads (yes, works!), that cut out cover and the booklet in the sleeve.

the 10c version has the booklet as a real book in the middle of the cover (kinda like the vitalogy), or? and whats then with the regular version? just plain juwel case? are there really 3 different versions - not even included the rockband and whatever specials.. ?

    phew..

btw. nice idea with the glow in the dark - DJs will appreciate it even more.. :)
  • Just got a big email from PJ, which includes this line:

The Target version of the CD and the iTunes version contain 2 free concert downloads chosen from a list of 11 PJ shows. Stay tuned for details on free concert downloads from the vault through the Ten Club version of the CD.
There's a lot to be said for nowhere...
