10 Club Backspacer: Free Concert Downloads?

edited September 2009 in The Porch
I've never seen a definitive answer on whether or not the 10C version of Backspacer came with the ability to download the FREE "vault" concerts. My copy of the album came yesterday (love it so far!) and when I insert it in my MacBook I get the cool Backspacer menu screen and Concert Downloads is one of the links. It takes me to the 2009 Bootlegs for sale. Nothing for the FREE downloads. Anyone know if we'll be getting the DLs with the 10C version, and if we are is it maybe not available until official release date (Sunday)?

I realize there are other threads on this but I didn't find an answer on any of them. I know lots of us got our 10C copies last night, so if anyone's had success with the free vault DLs, let me know how it worked for you.

Thanks! Back to enjoying the new album!!!!!!!!

A few have commented on it, I don't think they will be available until the actuall release date on the 20th.

Okay, so folks are pretty confident then that the 10C version comes with the free downloads? I know for a while there we were hearing the 10C version would not have the free dls...

When I clicked on the 'download shows' box with my 10-C copy, it led me to a page to buy them. Not two freebies.

    Am I doing it wrong?

Same thing happened to me, but the only ones for sale were the current batch of 2009 official boots, not the 11 vault shows from the past four or five years. So, I am curious about what's up also. But some people on here are saying wait until Sunday and then the Free Vault should be open to us with our Backspacer disc. Anyone know for sure?

As of now -- and i don't know if this will change -- the only versions that come with free downloadable shows are the Target and iTunes versions.

thanks. follow up question: didn't the original announcement say the free downloads would be accessible through a code that comes with the album? or am i misremembering, as roger clemens says. 'cause i didn't get a code with my 10C copy, so i suppose that means no free downloads.

The way i understand it, each CD has an individual, digitized serial number that will allow it to access two shows. I guess if you bought multiple versions, you could get more than the two freebies ...

However, i also understand it to be new technology, so i guess we'll all figure it out as it goes along.
