Alone in the Wild

Did anyone watch it? Channel 4 (UK) last night 9pm.

All it needed was a cool Eddie Vedder soundtrack...

This chap was clearly better prepared, but it gave me some insight (over and above the book and film)into how Chris McCandless may have felt - alone, in the wild.

I'll be tuning in next week to see how he's getting on. Anyone else watching it?

Have been watching it too. Didn't see it last night because our recorder went caput, and Tough Guy or Chicken won.

I've really enjoyed it from what I have seen, when my husband sat down to watch the first episode he said the music sounds like what EV did on ITW, have they copied him?

I thought it was the first episide last night, but then I'm slow like that...

Given the programme is very much like ITW - I'd guess the soundtrack's going to be similar. Noweher near as good of course.

What is this "recorder" of which you speak?

    Where are you watching it?

In Cumbria, England it was the 2nd Episode this week, we watched the beginning 5 mins before we decided to turn it over reluctantly. I think it started on about day 17. The first episode he jumped in the lake, he seemed consumed with hunger in the 2nd.

Seriously??, we've got a digibox recorder, but unfortunately it died (for the 3rd time), got a new one now hurray!! No more missed programmes - the ones we watch are either late at night or all on at the same time i.e. with the above - Channel 4 and BBC3.

Haven't seen an episode since, just haven't seen it advertised.

Will have to do an online catch-up at some point - or hope that it's repeated.

  • 3rd episode tonight in the states. Looking forward to it. Just decent TV and you have to admire someone for getting out there and doing it.
