I was doing some reading and thinking about why its been 16 years since I've been to a Pearl Jam show. It was September 1993 at Portland Meadows and nothing mattered to me more than being at that show. I wasn't even old enough to drink...Now I don't drink. I went through my entire twenties, and half my 30's, without a single show. I am going to 3 shows in the next 9 days. Its almost too much to comprehend. See the thing was, there weren't any shows to go to. And if there was there was NO way to get tickets. One time in 96' there was a show in Florida, and a secret 800 number, so lame. Back then we didn't have "lightning fast' internet, or this sweet ticketing system.

I keep thinking back to all those great records and NO shows to go with them. I keep thinking where was I? When I should really be thinking, where were they?

    So I'm guessing you'll be at the Seattle and Vancouver shows? I will and they will be my first shows ever!

    I was starting college at San Jose State University 16 years ago right now. In October, the boys played at the Spartan Arena and I missed out on that show due to my lack of effort in getting a ticket. I shoulda been at the box office at dawn.

    That day at Spartan stadium in 1995 was one of the best make up shows ever! Opening with Release right into Even Flow...the field was a crazy place to be!
