Putting away my early grave?

What does it mean?

Maybe, forgetting the horror of the world and just living. That that life of stress was killing him, that he was dying.

    I've kind of personalized that line....to me he is saying this wonderful person he is with has given him new hope for life, a reason to live and a ton of happiness. Being alone or just not having that kind of relationship -- possibly combined with some bad habits and having a negative outlook -- could be the reason why he thinks of an early grave....that's how I look at it because all that is exactly how I am feeling now...I kinda feel like my early grave has recently been put away
    All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

    They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

    I also tend to personalize edved lyrics too. Most of the lyrics on this album seem to be pretty introspective, which is unusual for ed. I'm sure he's just talking about his own life.
