That melody at 1:04

That guitar sound or whatever it is sounds very familiar and I like it. It sounds almost holiday like.

    Yeah, that part sounds a lot to me like a Cursive song called The Recluse (Great Song)

    For some reason the opening notes to Speed of Sound sound like the VERY VERY VERY beginning of the studio Wash to me.

    I don't know why!
