    You just GOTTA listen to the entire album at least once before you got back to individual tracks.It's how it's meant to be heard. Plus it keeps the anticipation goin a little longer.

    Unless you listened to the leak version first (which if you did I don't know why you would be quite as excited about putting it in and going to one track) I really hope you start it at the beginning. Amongst the Waves seemed to get a lot of hype from fans, but in my initial album listen, it wasn't even a standout for me. Later that day I couldn't remember how it even went. NOW, a couple days later, I really started to get into the song. I think on the initial listen, it came on between Just Breathe and Unthought Known, and I didn't really have time to digest it because both those songs are also great. But my point is, listen to the songs for yourself, in the order Pearl Jam recommends, and decide all on your own which tracks are the ones you will jump to next time. I just think it would be silly to base you first song choice on what a group of other fans said. We are all so different, someone might end up being really let down by ATW all because it was hyped up, and in fact I think that was another reasons. Fans were saying how great it was, reviewers were saying it was another Alive, and then it was kind of like, eh, for me. But now I get it and I love it. But try to get things on your own, is all I am suggesting.

    HOLY SHIT! this album is fucking great. even better than I expected

    I got to hear a few songs on the EV solo tour the last 2 summers. The album versions are much different than what I remember (especially Unthought Known).

    The stamp on the Backspacer envelope says "Time Sensitive Material", I like that. Though usually when I get time sensitive material on an envelope, it's back bad news about money I owe. This is the first time I agree that there was time sensitive material in an envelope for me. Thank you fan club from Old City Philly!
