My two cents...

I feel weird when its close to album release time and you see all these members jump on the form that have been members for years and start to post. They'll have 1 or two posts and be members for a long time... I'm not complaining or bitching...I'm just saying I think it's weird and yes, I knew alot of people lurk before posting and blah blah blah!

    i agree, but its the nature of the beast. i hope some of them stick around, we could use some new blood around here.

    When the board changed I lost my post count and had to start over. So maybe they are not new posters.

    Likewise. I had about 8000 posts before the change, and often wonder how many people are old posters that just lost their posts.

    been a member since '98... Short answer to low post count - kids. They are time consumers. I do log on from time to time to read, and with the new iPhone I should be able to log on and post some more. Also,as mentioned above with the new site, post count reset although it was only at about 200

    i read for years and years without posting. i finally started posting on the play the south thread last year. i probably won't be around much when there is no album/tour news but as it is it's the only place to get info.!

    really? I think it makes sense to get more people active once a tour or album comes out. But I have less than 5 posts, so what do I know.

    honestly, i only spend time on here around tours or album release dates. and sometimes not even then. would like to more often, but i have to be judicious with my f--k off time since I have these things called a family and a job and bills to think about. right now, this board is consuming time that it normally doesn't.

    exactly. i've always hunted for info here, but didn't post until i had an extra ticket (and wanted to sell it to a "real" fan). i just get addicted to these forums and spend/waste SO much time here, so i try to limit myself. but when albums and tours come around, i can't help reading/posting more, because it's refreshing to see/read people who "get it" and are as excited as i am about this band.

    I tried to post several times over the years and would get a message saying I was not permitted to post or something like that, even when I was logged in and everything. I even e-mailed them about it. Started trying a few months back and it worked, that happen to anyone else before?
