i doubt i'll even pick it up at all, i'll look round sometime to see if someone has it in vinyl but if not i'll just order that online somewhere.

i've given it a few chances. like i said, i'll get the vinyl, just not in a rush to get to the shop 1st thing tomorrow to pick it up, which is something i haven't done for a very long time for a pearl jam album.
dude i'm the type of guy who usually takes awhile to warm up to an album...took me 3 years to find the genius in Binaural!...but this new album i took to right away! this thing is amazing! and if you allow negativity and your preconceived notions of what you expected this album to be get in the way, then you are robbing yourself of a hell of a listening experience!!................this album is fucking awesome!!

I get it, not everything is for everyone. There are some really popular PJ songs that I just can't get into (Light Years for example).
I for one will be picking it up early Sunday Morning.
I will be making my usual trip to JBs as well, though unfortunately in the afternoon because I'm working tomorrow. And stuff waiting for my Ten Club copy which will supposedly arrive in 4-8 weeks time, according to the email that came in today. Dont think I'll be ordering cds from the 10 club in the future as we have to pay more for them than anyone and they cant even send them so we get them by the release date. :x
ha, i don't know if it's a good thing that it took you ages to enjoy other albums yet you like this one straight away.
it has a few highlights, amongst the waves is my favourite. but for me there is just more low lights then highlights. and i think the lowlights are pretty low *couch*johnnyguitar*cough*.

You'd probably only need to skip one lecture to listen to this album a few times. Hell, you might be able to listen to it a few times on your way *to* lecture.

yeah..it is a good thing....the difference was that when i first heard the fixer i didn't really care for it...so i kind of told my self to open up and forget everything they have done in the past...not have any expectations and just embrace this new album for what it is...and that's what i did...having that open mind enabled me to be positive about what i was hearing....you should try it!
I think this song is the sleeper. It's so damn catchy and definitely one of my favorites.

oh believe me i came in without any real expectations. i didn't have high hopes from hearing the 30 second amazon clips and it's actually the songs i had little hope for from those clips that have surprised me the most.
but yeah. we are never gonna agree, unless in the next few days you realise it's shit, or i realise it's brilliance. i don't think either is gonna happen. it's all a matter of opinion. like i said i wish i could share peoples enthusiasm for this release day tomorrow, but i can't. but there are many people excited to get this, some who haven't heard it yet, some may be disappointed, some may love it. it's all an individual thing.
