Mad Season Live cd, help!

Ok so I've had this cd kicking around for some time now. I would assume it is rare, desirable but does anyone have some real info on it etc?

Mad Season Live # CDNK 1089, Columbia

On the back of the cd case it says...
"Distributed for restricted use only, subject to recall" "Not for sale"

Track listing:

1. River Of Deceit
2. I Don't Know Anything
3. X Ray Mind
4. All Alone / November Hotel

Anyone that knows the rarity or vale of this?

Yes, that would be awesome. It's not a shortened version of the Live at the Moore video, is it?

Could be, it was recorded in April, 1995 at the Moore.

Yeah, then it's got to be an audio rip of the video or something. That was the April 29 show in Seattle. I believe it's actually an audience video recording, could be wrong though.

The cd you have seems odd though, because it's missing some of the songs from that night. The original set list for the show was:

Wake up
Lifeless Dead
Artificial Red

All Alone

However the video that was released (VHS only, no DVD) was:

As well as two songs from the band's broadcast on PJ's Self Pollution Radio in January, 1995.

The fact that your cd only has a few of those tracks and is missing the opening Lifeless Dead makes me think it might be some sort of bootleg audio version of the VHS. I could be wrong, but that's my best guess.

Although the CD says "Mad Season Live # CDNK 1089, Columbia", I don't think this was an original release by Columbia records. The VHS was distributed by Columbia, so I would guess the title is referencing that, especially since it seems to be a partial rip from that video. As far as I know, the VHS video was the only released format of this show.

In terms of value, probably not worth much on ebay. To be honest I haven't looked around to see if any of these cd audio rips from the concert are readily available. However if they aren't circulating much, it could be worth something in a trade to people on here. Like I said in an earlier post, I remember a few years ago thinking I would like an audio version of that show, so I have to figure others would be interested if it's not already well circulated.

Hey thanks for the input guys.. This is not a boot for sure though. The audio is soundboard, and the cd is legit. Im thinking this could be a radio promo of sorts.. I cant find info on it but the cd id for sure a columbia print

Thats the cd!! Lucky find maybe? i wonder what its worth? Thankyou for the help guys, I guess the next question is how rare and what was the original purpose? Radio promo?

I have it as well. Can't remember where it came from though. I think it was just a promo I got from AB Sound in Edmonton when buying some other stuff there back in the mid-90s, but it could have been HMV. I didn't think it was rare, but maybe it is seeing as not many here have seen or heard of it.
