KROQ 106.7 in L.A. is promoting Backspacer

Whoopdy Doo!! The only time KROQ hops on the bandwagon is only when Pearl Jam has a new album coming out. After Backspacer is released, and after the concerts at the Gibson, KROQ will go back to the staples: Alive, Black, Daughter, and Evenflow. They're doing a promo: Pearl Jam every day/Silversun Pickups every night.

The same radio station whose DJ in 1996 (No Code) referred to Pearl Jam has gypsie belly dancer music (re: Who You Are). Same station who had a DJ make snoring sounds during Yellow Ledbetter's solo part.

If this bothers you so much as it seems to, then why even promote them by talking about it?
I'm not trying to be a jerk, just an honest question.

I just want someone to be there for . . .
I hear what you're saying. I'm not pissed off or anything. I'm actually happy KROQ is promoting Backspacer. I just don't like the fact that whenever the dust settles from every new PJ album, you won't hear any song off that album on KROQ. Maybe it's like that with most stations.
I think you are right. Even the stations here in Seattle never play anything beyond Ten or Vs.

Very occasional Better Man, rarely Corduroy.
