Leak peer pressure..driving me nuts!

So my fellow jammer friends have listened to the "leak" of a certain album. I cannot take the ribbing anymore! Below is our exchange today...any advice to an old school record purchaser :-) ???? I think my message should be a guide to all of you holding out for Backspacer!
My friend:
My name is xx and I'm a Backspacer addict. Monday of this week, I was given the new album. I was hesitant at first but my will power got the best of me. It kept calling my name and I couldn't resist it. I tried very hard to not give in to the drug but it pulled me in and now I am addicted. I need an intervention to stop me from wearing out my CD player. I need help! This is not like me! I always resist the leaked drug but I couldn't help myself. Please forgive me!!! But it's so freaking good and makes me so happy that I can't stop!
Ivegotcookies, since it is the entire album, I justified giving in. If it was just a song here and there, I wouldn't do it because you have to hear it all at one time. It is amazing and you should not deny your ears of such awesomeness! Just one listen?!?! You deserve it!!! See...I am an addict. Trying to push it on others. I'm a Backspacer pusher. I should be ashamed!!! Next thing you know, I'll be in school yards trying to get everyone addicted. I've crossed to the dark side and I don't regret it! It's that good!!!
My response ( This is my medicine for all you leaky listeners out there!):
My fellow jammers. In reflecting upon this e-mail I decided to quote a cautionary anti-drug tale from my childhood "Crack is Wack". I too have been tempted by this forbidden "Backspacer" fruit. I would love to listen to the new Pearl Jam record right this second and crack open a cold beer...ahhh beer. But alas, this is not how nature intended it. No Eddie and the Target gods would not want me to open my free web browser and navigate to my favorite file sharing program and in 20 minutes my pizza is ready and I have random song files on my computer that I can play and marvel in all the lossy sound quality on my low powered laptop speakers and get my fix. No the journey is the destination, The band wants us to revel in the glorious glow in the dark artwork from Tom Tommorow, see all of Target's promotional materials both online, on TV and in store locations, play the album as a young Eddie would back as a teenager where he saved his milk money to buy Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run and play it on a stereo with turntable in full stereo fidelity....From this point forward I will be strong and say no to this powerful, awesome drug. Instead I will wait patiently until one of two things happen:
a) My preordered vinyl or CD version of Pearl Jam's Backspacer arrives in my mailbox ( or slightly crushed if you know my mailman)
or
b) Wake up bright and early on Sunday 9/20, and drive to my nearest Target location ( go to www.target.com) for a location near you, and ask the friendly Target sales associate where I can purchase the new musical recording of Pearl Jam thaty I saw in my weekly circular. Once located , I will also revel in all the bonus goodies that my favorite muscians have to offer us, including setting aside an additional little something for the brand new Pearl Jam organic- T shirt! that will be available to purchase. It will perfectly complement the 2009 Pearl Jam water bottle I preordered this past Sunday to prep for this epic new music!
With that being said , I will head to checkout, purchase my Pearl Jam items, in addition to grocercies, personal items and a stop at the Target food court for some popcorn.
Once leaving the parking lot I will slowly open the CD packaging, pausing to smell the new recycled special target edition of Backspacer. The CD slowly leaves the packaging and enters the CD player..the music begins playing...pure pleasure..mmmm,,Ill leave the rest to your imaginiation..the fix will indeed sit in proper then
Please get help guys..I care about you very much..I know how addicting new music can be, but please do it safely. There are many detox programs available...most free of charge. Be safe, spread the jam responsibly and keep on rockin' in the free world. I'm sorry you couldn't hold out and have the stamina to finish like your fellow jammer here can. Please feel free to pass this letter onto any other affected addicted Backspacer users. It's the Green Di$ease.
Respectfully Yours,
Thanks for listening guys..can't wait until Sunday!

question- if there is no Target where you live, (NYC here), and the shirt is not for sale on the Target website (at least it isnt when i searched 10 minutes ago), How can you buy that organic T-shirt?
JLevy: There is a Target in White Plains which you could take metro north to (only about a 10 min walk from train station). No, I wouldn't do it personally for a t-shirt, but if you can't order it online (which I'd be surprised by), it's an option. I bet there is a Target even closer in Mt Vernon or Queens, but I'm not sure.
Hey...Lucky for us we can take a short ride over the Brooklyn Bridge to the Atlantic Avenue target in Brooklyn. A close call indeed. There's also one easily accessible in Queens by the V and R trains! No excuses..stay strong!
