What is up with so many people on this board making outrageous claims and stupid predicitons?

"How many more albums will Pearl Jam make?"

"Oh they'll definitely make 3 or 4 more then just tour."

This is retarded! Nobody can possibly know the answers to questions like that....even Pearl Jam, and to try to answer them is just self-involved mental masturbation! Someone else claimed that if the bootlegs from the last string of shows arent released on monday then that means they wont be released at all......once again......retarded. No way to know that (and it contradicts the facts we all have from the Ten Club).

I love Pearl Jam but you "Know-It-All-Know-Nothings" out there are making me really hate this board.

What do you expect here? Honestly....This is the bands OFFICIAL message board, and you have ages ranging from 12-65?? People that have been around since the beginning....People that werent born when they started, some that are just discovering the band, and some that are rediscovering the band? These things that you complain about are the things that keep it fresh, interesting, and keep alot of us coming back daily. Maybe its not your cup of tea and it bothers you to a point...But is it THAT bothersome to you that you feel the need to come here and make some people feel bad? How do you know that these things are outrageous? How do YOU know how many records they have left in them? How do you know they wont make a country record? How do you know that tomorrow ed wont leave the band and go solo, or that matt may or may not leave to go back to do a SG reunion, or that they might wake up one day and decide they have had enough? Simple fact is you dont....You said come here and say something substantial?? Let me know when YOU start, and I may come back and tell you how wrong or silly you are for saying whatever it is that you may spew onto the screen here....be sound! :-)

Their newest album is called Backspacer and is due in stores on Sept 20th.

Opinions are points of view on something subjective, not outrageous predictions about the future stated as scholarly fact. Like there's some kind of formula that you can work backwards to get the answer.
