I think the NY show is a Typo. I think it is 2008 not 2006. There was no show in June 06 in NY.
thanks, i would hate to have chose the wrong ones.......if that is even possible
Or maybe theyve been spruced up? although i doubt it. I have nearly all of these shows already, but if the sound on the 2005 shows has been overhauled, id definitely get those two.
Even if it hasnt, i think the Philadelphia (Wachovia) show is the best there
Sha la la la i'm in love with a jersey girl
I love you forever and forever

I could be wrong but, I think consensus in one of the other threads discussing this was that it was a smarter move for the band to offer more recent shows than earlier shows based on the amount of their catalogue represented in the setlists.
In other words, why would you try to hook a new listener who might be giving PJ a first look with a show from 93 that would only have two albums represented on it instead of a show from 2005 or later that would have virtually their entire catalogue represented.
Detroit 2- 2003, Toledo- 2004, Grand Rapids- 2004, Kitchener- 2005, London- 2005, Hamilton- 2005, Toronto 1- 2006, Toronto 2- 2006, Grand Rapids- 2006. Cleveland- 2006, Detroit- 2006, Lollapalooza- 2007, Mansfield 1- 2008
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but...
I have yet to hear that the content of the cd will have any variation. It is just the cd jacket that will have different variations. In other words, wherever you buy the album (10C, Target, Indie store, Newbury Comics, U.S., Canada, Australia, Luxembourg, etc...) you will get access to the mini-vault downloads.
Anyone else?
You know HH, you just never know what the hell they are gonna do! they are free agents now!
True.
I also should've mentioned iTunes in that incomplete list...
hey HH, i am going to buy the digital LP to see what is offered. fuck, i'm gonna have like 10x copies of this thing, but i don't care.
you aren't the only one, man!!

To me the vault shows are shows that were NEVER available through the official program..
i.e tours 1992-1998
and I thought this was going to be "spanning their careeer"...not just the last three tours
Damn...

I'm not pulling the trigger on this. I'll have the 10C/Indie version of the cd and the LP. I would just rather have something tactile in my presence.
I'll be curious to know what you think of the "enhanced media" version on iTunes though.
I'm gonna hope that whoever said this is just the start (ie: we'll see more shows in the future) was right.
Of all the shows from the last few tours, the sets and overall feel to the shows is a lot more varied than the earlier tours (more material to chose from). and considering that, theyve picked a great combination of shows here. That acoustic Encore in Grand Rapids, or the ridiculously long final encore in Halifax.
That show from Santiago 2005 was broadcast on tv, and its absolutely brilliant. Fantastic version of Release right there.
Its the shows that were NEVER made public that I thought would be part of this "spanning their entire career" release...
We're spoiled, I am the first to admit it..
But the 1992 and 1993 Vault releases got my juices flowing for what could be...
For example, this board and the fanbase would go WILD if the famous Randall Island 1996 show was released as part of the Vault opening...
or the 9/11/98 MSG show...
Or the Boston Orpheum 4/12/94 show in which the crew wrote the setlist (They even teased us with a Beta release of "Rats" from that show.. remember?)
I LOVE what the band gives us for boots, I just have a greater expectation for anything that is labled "vault" worthy...
That all..

Sammi: Wanna just break up?
too bad the crowd wasn't...
isn't that the famous show where Ed was pissed at the crowd's lame attempt at singing EVEN Flow
so Ed said said "We're gonna give you a couple of more chances but forgive me for saying this...Boston was louder... that's all I'm saying".
EEk.. that's gotta hurt!

yea it does hurt. ed recently said the Vancouver crowd sucked soooo i take it as part of the "act" of the band. thankfully I'm from ny and not smelly jersey :P
Sammi: Wanna just break up?
smelly jersey? Yet you have your avatar as the Lighthouse project? Talk about a stink-fest, between Long Guyland, the Mets, and the Islanders...
