what points do you agree with?
  • It saddens me that only until recently the Federal Reserve has gotten any real attention. On a positive note, it is actually gaining attention. Really, the Federal Reserve should be at the center of any discussion which involves the government spending money, as they truly are THE source for it all, either directly, or indirectly through their dealings with other foreign central banks. Speaking VERY generally, in the last 8 years the country has managed to divide itself (special thanks to the media) into two groups of people each with their own BEEF about how the federal government is spending our money: one hates it being spent on war, the other hates it being spent on social programs and welfare. But WHO ultimately provides the funding for both of these? The Federal Reserve, of course, as they not only fund this stuff, but indebt the people of this country in the process. How many of us were on the same side about bailing out the banks? I'd say there was a lot of common ground there between both "sides," on this issue, as in most people strongly opposed it. Of course, Congress ended up voting in favor of bailing out the banks, against the will of their constituents, and who wrote the big blank check? The Fed-- this time, they had more interest than ever in creating large sums of money out of thin air as it was their own shareholders who were collapsing.

So my question is, why aren't more people talking about how this one institution is RUINING this country, and why haven't they? There is no "left" and "right" in dealings with the Fed. They do not care WHO they steal from through inflation and taxation on the debt they create, so do we not all have a common enemy here? Or are we just all residents of FUCKEDVILLE, USA with how they are deeply woven into our economy and governing structure?
