Are they really making this?

I'm reading they are..

I love the idea, but Harrison is approaching 70.. is this going to be a comedy?

Can they really make this work?

I wasn't really impressed with Indy 4.. Harrison barely pulled it off, but the script kind of sucked. It was worth a bowl of popcorn, but another one? Really???

4 was awful. Some of the worst CGI and cheesiness I've ever seen.

Total shame after the first 3.
    NERDS!
  • Even though people may be a lot more cautious considering how weird the last movie was ( and since the nostalgia thats been building up for the past 19 years was used up on that one), I would guess that it probably wouldnt do as well. But as long as its Indy, no Shia LeBOOF  , and as long as there aren't any aliens, I would watch it.

The CGI did suck, but there wasn't a lot of it fortunately.. its just the editing.. the movie to me didn't seem to flow right. The script idea wasn't bad, but Spielberg could have done better.. I don't know.. it was worth a watch, but had zero lasting power.

I liked the alien concept.. to me it was more realistic than the religious, voodoo mumbo jumbo.

I thought the very beginning was fun.. the monkeys through me off.. It got awkwardly corny from then on out..

we'll agree to disagree. i thought the alien plot was too radical a departure from the themes of the first three. it didn't feel right. nuking the fridge didn't help either.
It is time to admit that we used to rock like hurricanes. It is time to run for the hills and go round and round. It is time for us to shout at the devil. We've got the right to choose it, there ain't no way we'll lose it, and we're not gonna take it anymore.

They were trying to catching up with the times.. the Russians, Roswell.. Nazi's were no longer the enemy. Made sense to me..

The shitty script killed it.. there was never a real sense of danger for Indy.. no build.

I once defended this movie, but couldn't sit through it a second time, not because of the aliens, but the lack of suspense.
