  • Lately it's been Lars and the Real Girl. Has anyone ever seen it? It's so darn quirky, sad and at times cute. A very unique movie... I saw it on Showtime the other night again, and I still adore it. This may turn into one of those movies that every time I see it on, I'm going to want to watch it.

It is an amazing film.I wanted to see it at the cinema but friends thought I was weird wanting to go see a film about the subject matter. They couldnt get their thoughts past the seedy documentaries they had watched about the real doll thing.
I went to see it alone and as I had expected it was so sensitively done.Ryan Gosling is fantastic and the issue of mental health, lonliness and relationships/intimicy is addressed so beautifully.Especially the doctor "chatting" to him while the "girl" is resting from having had a medical.Brilliant.
I would recommend watching this film

For anyone that is curious: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47WAWDifNIE&

Watch it, and then buy the DVD.... support great independent films! :)

On a side note, Dead Man's Bones are playing in Philly October 16th, and I think I may have to go. I think seeing Ryan Gosling perform with a children's choir would be a really fun night.

A lot of the movies people have already mentioned for me but for my husband the one movie is Unforgiven with Clint Eastwood. We've watched it so many times that I know most of the dialog by heart.
(I really like it too.) ;)

    Great, great movie....

Hell of thing, killin' a man.
take away all he's got....and all he's ever gonna have.
I'm coming out now. Any man I see out there, I'm gonna shoot him. Any sumbitch takes a shot at me, I'm not only gonna kill him, but I'm gonna kill his wife, all his friends, and burn his damn house down.
