My Morning Jacket

I am a huge MMJ fan. Im beginning to get alittle frustrated at the lack of updates as to whats going on with the band from their website..anyone know anything i dont?

    Monsters of Folk is comin out soon.

    Yim Yames just release a George Harrison tribute album.

    Last I heard MMJ was takin a lengthy break. Not a "hiatus" as so many bands do, just some time away.

    i am pretty sure Yim Yames has a "Full Length Solo Record Coming Soon" according to his website

    Tribute is pretty fantastic

    Yim Yames = Jim James alter ego (pointing out the obvious)

    same here, last i heard it was a hiatus of sorts. the lack of updates is pretty weak.

    well, considering they recorded Z, then toured like madmen in support of it...
    then went back into the studio & recorded Evil Urges, then toured like madmen...
    i think they deserve a bit of a break.
    i'm not worried...they'll be back.

    I skip Radio City Music Hall because I wanted MSG NYE to be my first show, then I end up having to miss the NYE show, then they go on a long hiatus and Jim James is in Monsters of Folk which don't interest me at all. :x

    I should have made sure I saw them when Z was out.

    yeah, now monsters of folk ads say that there will be my morning jacket stuff played at the 2.5 hour shows, but it just does not interest me either....

    i saw mmj 7 times....and the last time was front row seattle got the setlist. ONE of the best nights of my life.

    okonokos is hands down the most spun vinyl i have in my collection. they are simply a stunning band. the emotion in their songs is incredible. laylow, dondante, i will sing to you, amazing stuff. evill urges is a desert island disc for me for sure. genius.

    like i said, i got the setlist from that show, AND got an artist print of the poster doodled from the artist. I've been wanting to get it framed all nice, but havent had the cash...i will post it soon when i get it done in oct or november.

    i feel a certain way when listening to pearl jam, listening to the hip, (my other favs), but i gotta say the feeling i get listening to some of the slow burners with a jam on the end from mmj is unmatched.

    Last time I saw MMJ was about this time last year in Tempe, AZ. From what I remember it was a great show!

    I thought they were gonna tour this Fall/Winter???
    Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.

    That Tempe show kicked serious ass!!
    I’ve seen Pearl Jam 25 times, Eddie Vedder 9 times, and Brad once.
