I had severe tonsilitis a couple months ago and finally got them removed today. Feels less painful then when I had the inflammation.
The best part is the liquid pecocet called Roxicet. WOW. Can't believe I am typing this without mispelling words.

It's a lie. You don't get ice cream... or any dairy products. It makes you "phelmy" apparently. Or any red colored food - otherwise you won't know if you start puking up blood.
I was not happy when I got them out and I was 18. I had a super rough surgery and recovery though... I hope yours go better!!!

Thanks. It's funny you mention the red colored food. The liquid pain meds are red in color, kind or like Robitussin. They actually recomended I eat ice cream during the first few days but like you said, I heard it creates phlegm. getting through it though and it is already feeling better.
