I went to a bar called Amber when I was in Seattle for the OSU-Washington game... Pretty good time.. Went to a couple of other bars, but can't remember the names.

i like chilled out pubs/restaurants where they play some decent music, and not at a volume where you cant talk to the person beside you. i heard there was a bar with an arcade in it? that sounds like it would be awesome. i'm staying at the green tortoise hostel near pike market. any thoughts??? thanks

Shorty's is a bar w/ pinball machines in the back. It's about a 10 min walk from tortoise hostel. OK hostel, fairly clean, private showers, some strange old people. The area is pretty dead at night, and there's nothing to eat around there. Maybe some people from Seattle can chime in.

I believe that bar is called Shorty's

You might want to try Crocodile or Tini Biggs.

There's food at most bars and there are food carts scattered around.
