No Code - Out of Print?!

So I was just about to order No Code for a buddy of mine for his birthday... Sadly, it appears to be out of print...

Looks like I'll have to buy a used copy for him... Damn shame this is out of print now, it's great packaging and to think that future fans won't be able to experience it is quite sad... Sony will probably put out something that costs them less to print or something.

edit: it's also out of stock in the goods section here.

i'm sure it is out of print because they plan to re-release it soon---just like they did with Ten. no point in printing more now.

I love No Code too. I really believe that No Code was the album that announced what Pearl Jam was really capable of and that they were truly an original band. I will anxiously await the re-release.

i think it will co-exist with a new re-mastered version. So don't think that is the reason.

It's still available in Europe, german amazon (http://www.amazon.de/No-Code-Pearl-Jam/dp/B000025QLX/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1252930254&sr=8-1) has it in stock, but it's probably the "nice price"-version WITHOUT the polaroids Sony released at least in Germany at some point.

Yeah I'm aware I can get it used (I actually did order it off of secondspin.com)...

I just wanted to post about it being potentially OOP in the states... I just think that's bizarre.
